In addition to bustin’ ghosts, the Nomad Ghostbusters of Minnesota have embarked on a mission to bust cancer. Along the way, they partnered with the American Cancer Society to raise funds for the fight, support cancer research, and help the local community. The Tour started in 2024 and looks to continue well into the future. Join the Tour and help bust some cancer!
THE BUSTIN’ CANCER TOUR REPORT
We originally set out to raise $3,000 for the American Cancer Society in 2025. But then Sony Pictures launched a charity challenge called Ghostbusters Give Back—and everything changed.
Here’s the deal: Ghostbusters chapters all over the country are competing to raise money for their charity partners. Any team that hits $50,000 (or more) wins. On top of that, Sony Pictures will match every dollar raised—up to $250,000—to support the Starlight Children’s Foundation. That means every dollar we raise goes twice as far!
With that in mind, we’ve upped our goal to $10,000. Sure, we’d love to hit the big $50K, but we also want to set a target we know we can crush. Our fundraising year runs June 1 to May 31, and if we hit $10K early, we’ll raise the bar again.
